The material shown above was provided by a college buddy. He and I were great friends while at Mississippi State, but parted ways after graduation in 1975. We haven't seen each other since. We were both in the Stage Band, a 1940s-style big-band.
He went to work for NASA after having earned his Masters degree in aerospace engineer in 1975 while I joined Sperry-UNIVAC's database R&D center after having earned my Masters degree in computer science in 1976.
It turns out that his current NASA project is with the X-38 flying body. His email address came across my desk during a recent 'episode' involving the Mississippi State Maroon Band. We've exchanged a few emails since.
I asked him to provide some information for the DeltaVortex web site. The above is what he sent. My goodness, but what would we do without old college buddies!
Thanks, pal! The gang and I look forward to seeing you at the next Maroon Band reunion!
